This year’s stunning Official Fiesta poster captures the passion, color, and Spirit of Fiesta!
2025 El Presidente and well-known Fiesta photographer Fritz Olenberger envisioned a poster that would embody the beauty, magic, and vibrant energy of Fiesta—seen in the dance, music, pageantry, and above all, the sense of community it inspires each year. To bring this vision to life, he selected one of his favorite photos of a flamenco dancer and commissioned acclaimed local artist Derek Harrison to transform it into a stunning oil-on-canvas painting.
The dancer is depicted in a striking red Bata de Cola, the long-tailed flamenco dress traditionally worn in this passionate art form. A key visual element in the composition is the graceful “S-curve” created by her flying white-fringed shawl, the turn of her body, and the flowing tail of the dress—capturing a dynamic sense of movement and vitality.
Fritz emphasized the importance of the dancer’s expression, asking Derek to capture a moment of pure joy and freedom—dancing as if no one is watching.
Celebrated local artist and designer Larry Vigon contributed to the final poster layout and local artists Eric States and Cynthia Van Stein provided the digital expertise to seamlessly integrate all components of the artwork into the final poster design.
Join us in celebrating the spirit and enchantment that Fiesta brings to Santa Barbara year after year. We invite you to “Capture the Spirit.”
¡Viva la Fiesta!
The poster is a standard poster size of 22 x 28. It will ship rolled.
